What is Compass?
Compass is a partnership of 12 providers across Cornwall, the project is aimed at supporting young people aged 15-24 including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) to develop the skills to make informed choices around education, employment and training.
What is our role?
We will be working with two of our contracted partners The Outdoor Place and TST as well as our specialist provision to support these young people into education initially. As all of our learners have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) this places them at very high risk of becoming ‘Not in Education, Employment, or Training’ (NEET). We will provide wraparound support for these young people to support them to stay in education with the goal of providing them with the resilience and confidence to move forward into supported internships, employment or apprenticeships at the end of their time with us.
How will we support our young people?
Creating a development plan to tackle the barriers to personal and social issues which have such considerable impact on this type of young person.
