Entry Requirements
There are no formal qualifications required to undertake this course. To secure your place please return the completed registration form available by contacting us. After this, we will arrange an initial advice and guidance session before completing an initial assessment.
Why should I do this qualification?
Firstly, you will learn how to identify the signs and risk factors asssociated with domestic abuse. Additionally, you will learn about signposting and policies and procedures relating to safeguarding as well as an in depth study of the wide reaching impact of domestic abuse.
What will I learn?
This course explores all aspects of domestic abuse. From recognising signs of domestic abuse to understanding its impact and raising awareness of support and referral routes.
You will complete 4 mandatory units:
- Understand domestic abuse
- Learn the signs and risk factors associated with domestic abuse
- Understand the impact of domestic abuse
- Learn policy, response and intervention in relation to domestic abuse
How will I be assessed?
Our course is internally assessed by your tutor. You will be required to answer questions in an electronic workbook. Complete work at a a time to suit you, we provide recommended submission dates but you do not need to stick to these. Your tutor is available to provide support throughout the course.
