Step Into Learning CIC

As well as our main charitable company, Step Into Learning, we have also set up a Community Interest Company called Step Into Learning CIC.

Within the third sector there are different types of organisations including charities, CICs, voluntary and community groups.

Community Interest Companies are set up and run to use their profits and assets to benefit the community. A CIC will reinvest its surpluses to achieve its social goals instead of being purely focussed on maximising profit for shareholders or business owners.

Step Into Learning CIC is strongly committed to benefitting the community through various, evolving, social initiatives. SILC is our free, confidential counselling service for the Launceston community. We have set up a Community Larder held in the town centre every Wednesday. We also support disadvantaged young people and adults into training or work through our funded projects, New Tomorrow, Foundations for Work and Compass.
