Berries Café Valentine’s Day Event

Our Hospitality and Catering study programme learners have been offered a great opportunity to work at Berries Café, where they will plan, prepare, and serve food at a Family-Friendly Valentine’s Day event. The café approached us and said they would be keen for our learners to get involved – they have planned the menu and will help set up the café, prepare and serve the food.

Our learners will attend the café on Thursday, 12th February, to prepare for the event. Then, on Saturday 14th February, our learners will be at the café from 2pm to 8pm so they can assist in the kitchen preparing, cooking or plating up the food, or working front of house – taking orders, serving meals and taking payments. Our learners will be in their Chef Whites for kitchen work or smart clothes for front of house, so they look and feel the part!

This is a great opportunity, invaluable work experience, and a lot of fun for our learners to experience an event in a café setting.
