Green Team – Carbon Literacy Training

We are very proud to announce that all of our Green Team – Lucy Muldowney, Sue Caldwell, Jo Tucker & I (Suzanne Pennells) have all now completed their Carbon Literacy training with Positive Planet. 

Carbon Literacy refers to understanding the carbon impact and climate consequences of our daily actions. The training has equipped us with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to drive meaningful change – empowering individuals, communities, and organisations to take action and reduce carbon emissions.

The training with Positive Planet has helped us to understand the science and urgency behind the shift to a sustainable future – empowering our team with the knowledge and practical tools needed to drive meaningful, measurable change.

We gained the following:

• A clear understanding of how climate change is affecting us now and what to expect in the future

• The ability to find, interpret, and communicate climate-related information

• Insight into the carbon impact of organisational operations and procurement

• Practical tools to empower leadership and support strategic decision-making

• The skills and motivation to lead positive change and reduce emissions

• Guidance on navigating the decisive decade, identifying risks and growth opportunities through sustainability

• Strategies to foster a culture shift and integrate sustainability into ongoing professional development

We are all now proud to include the ‘Certified Carbon Literate’ icon at the bottom of our emails to show we have completed this unique qualification recognised by the United Nations.
