Project Update – SPF Digital Futures Cornwall
Having hit our target of supporting 90 participants to complete Excel and Word Basic, Intermediate and Advanced workshops in phase 1 2024-25, we started the second phase of funding through SPF Digital Futures Cornwall in April this year. This time, we have been running Excel workshops only, as these have proved the most popular. At the beginning of September, we were excited to be asked to deliver a 2 hour Excel Advanced workshop to CELT (Cornwall Education Learning Trust) at Penrice Academy during their inset day.
We are off to Redruth today, working in partnership with Proud to Care Cornwall, to deliver the first of four Excel workshops to staff working in the care sector – today’s session is Excel Basic. We have three further sessions planned in over September and October – Excel Intermediate, Excel Advanced, and a workshop style session where participants can bring a current piece of work in Excel or an issue in order to work through it or find a solution, with the support of our tutor, Clare. We look forward to working with the care sector staff to help them get the most out of Excel!
We are also hoping to return to Callestick Farm later this year to offer a Word session – they enjoyed an Excel session in February with the previous round of funding.
Clare (our Excel expert and tutor) and I have enjoyed delivering the sessions so far, and look forward to all those yet to come. With our current progress, we are proud to say that we hope to achieve 66% of our current target, (60 learners completing Excel workshops) by the end of September!
