Taster Days
At Step Into Learning, we would like to welcome you to visit us to get an idea of what it’s like to be a learner on our 16-18 (or 16-24 with an EHCP) study programmes. We understand that before deciding which course and place of study is right for you, it’s important to understand our learner experience, and what better way to do that than to come and get involved in a taster day? As part of the session you will meet some of our staff, see where you would be learning and get involved in hands-on tasks!

Bespoke taster days for young people and their supporters
If you are a parent or carer and wish to come along with your young person to experience life at The Orchard Centre, meet our learners and tutors and even get involved with lessons if you wish, please email directly to info@stepintolearning.org.uk and we will get in touch and arrange that for you.
We can organise a bespoke taster day, giving you the opportunity to experience what it’s like to study here, and be a part of the Step into Learning community. You will be able to talk confidentially to any of our specialist team members, and gain a deeper understanding of how your young person can be supported here, with their education and next steps.
Bespoke tasters for schools and colleges
If you are a school or college and wish to arrange a taster day for a group of students, please email us directly at info@stepintolearning.org.uk.
We are happy to welcome you to see and experience our facilities here at The Orchard Centre, or alternatively visit you, where we can talk about the options available to your learners. One of our engaging tutors can deliver a taster session, giving learners the opportunity to experience teaching and learning with Step into Learning. We can also arrange for a current learner to join the visit, to share their insight from a young person’s perspective. For those learners interested in our catering courses, we are happy to get involved and create a recipe with learners, for them to take home.
