Visit to Treguddick Distillery & Dizzy Dairy
Our study programme learners recently enjoyed a visit to Treguddick Distillery and Dizzy Dairy. The trip began at Treguddick Distillery, where our learners and staff discovered how the business began and grew. They then went to the kitchen to meet the chef and chatted with the front of house manager to understand how everything works behind the scenes, and in the customer-facing environments.
In the afternoon, everyone headed to Dizzy Dairy for another wonderful experience. Our learners heard first-hand about the trials and tribulations of starting your own business and how determination and enthusiasm get you the desired results. They really enjoyed looking around the farm, meeting lambs born only the day before their visit, as well as trying all the wonderful cheeses!
A huge thank you to both of these amazing venues for providing our learners with the opportunity to learn about the practicalities of running a food and drink business in Cornwall. They had a great day, found it an interesting and inspiring experience, and came away having gained knowledge and new ideas.
