Learners Take Part in St Mary’s Flower Festival

by | Jun 8, 2026

Learners from our ‘Step Into’ study programmes are proud to be taking part in this year’s Flower Festival at St Mary’s in Launceston for the very first time.

Working together, learners have contributed to creating a beautiful display, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and dedication. The final piece that is displayed in St May’s includes handmade origami flowers – Layla kindly shared her skills with the other learners and staff.

As part of the project, learners also reflected on words that described their experiences at Step Into Learning, writing them on coloured paper and hanging them on the flower tree, adding a personal touch to the display and highlighting the positive impact of their learning journey.

The Flower Festival will be held at St Mary’s in Launceston from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the displays.

We’re delighted to be involved for the first time and hope many people will visit to see the fantastic work our learners have created!
