Supported Internship Placement – Lanivet Community Hub
We are delighted to celebrate an exciting new Supported Internship placement and partnership with Lanivet Community Hub! From September 2026, Harvey will continue his journey with Step Into Learning as he begins a Supported Internship, gaining valuable workplace experience with the fantastic team at Lanivet Community Hub.
Lanivet Community Hub plays an important role in supporting individuals, families and communities across Cornwall. With an inclusive approach at the heart of its work, the Hub provides a welcoming environment where people of all ages and abilities are encouraged to develop, contribute and reach their potential.
Harvey’s Supported Internship gives him the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a real workplace, while developing the confidence and skills that will support his future employment.
Working alongside different members of the Lanivet Community Hub team, Harvey will experience a variety of roles and responsibilities across the organisation. This will allow him to build a broad range of workplace, employability and life skills, while discovering more about his own strengths, interests and career aspirations.
Harvey has already made fantastic progress. One achievement we are particularly proud of is his travel training. His confidence and independence have grown to the point where he is now able to travel to his placement independently – an important milestone in his journey towards employment.
Step Into Learning’s Supported Internship Coordinator, Gary Jeffery, said:

His confidence has grown enormously, and we are extremely proud of the progress he has made with his travel training. He is now travelling to work independently, which is a fantastic achievement. A massive thank you to Barry (pictured) and the whole team at Lanivet Community Hub for their continued encouragement and support. I have no doubt that Harvey will continue to grow and develop throughout his internship.”
