Places Still Available for Our Step Into Skills Course Starting in September
We’re excited to share that we still have places available on our Step Into Skills study programme starting this September!
Our Step Into Skills course has been designed to help young people build confidence, independence and work-readiness in a supportive and practical learning environment. The programme is open to 16–18 year olds, as well as 16–24 year olds with an EHCP, and offers learners the chance to gain valuable employability and life skills while exploring future career pathways.
Throughout the course, learners take part in hands-on activities and real-world experiences that support both personal development and progression into employment, further education or supported internships. We pride ourselves on offering small class sizes, experienced and supportive staff, and study programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
In term one, all learners complete a shared core programme focused on essential life and work skills including teamwork, communication, problem solving, healthy lifestyles and employability skills. In term two, learners can choose a specialist pathway based on their interests and aspirations:
- Step Into Creative Skills
- Step Into Sustainable Skills
These pathways allow learners to develop sector-specific skills through practical projects and community-based learning.
We also support learners with Functional Skills in Maths and English from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, using flexible approaches to help everyone achieve their potential. Learners may also have the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as part of the programme.
