Step Into Skills Learners Visit Ambrosia
Learners from the Step Into Skills programme recently enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to Ambrosia, where they gained valuable insight into the world of food production and product development.
The visit began with an engaging presentation from the Ambrosia team, who explained the structure of the company and highlighted the wide range of job roles available within the business. Learners discovered how different departments work together, from production and quality control to research, development, and management.
Following the talk, the group was given a guided tour of the pilot plant, where they were able to see part of the manufacturing process in action and learn more about how products are developed and tested before reaching consumers.
The experience continued in the research and development laboratory, where learners had the opportunity to get hands-on by creating their own desserts. This interactive activity gave everyone a fun and memorable insight into the creativity and science involved in food innovation.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for learners to explore potential career pathways, develop their understanding of the food industry, and experience a real working environment first-hand.
