Launceston Community Larder Launches Thursday 12th May

We launched the Launceston Community Larder on Thursday 12th May at The Orchard Centre. The larder now runs weekly every Wednesday from 10am-12pm. The community larder focusses on reducing food waste whilst providing nutritious food for local people that would otherwise have been thrown away. There are are no forms to fill in and no eligibility criteria – the larder is open to all! There is an option to donate but this is not a requirement.

A member of our project teams (New Tomorrow or Foundations for Work) will be there every week, so there will also be opportunity to discuss our free mentor support if you’re out of work for any reason and would like support to build skills, find work or training.

We are looking for volunteers to help us run the weekly larder so please get in touch if you could help us collect supplies from Roche, collect food from the Co-op petrol station on Western Road or run the larder 10am-12pm on Wednesdays. If you would like to volunteer please contact Suzanne Pennells on 01566 701828 or 07508 465 204 or suzanne.pennells@vlearningnet.org.uk.
