We’re Proud to Announce our New Supported Internship Partnership with Pete’s Games

We are delighted to announce a fantastic new Supported Internship partnership with Pete’s Games — marking one of our first employer collaborations within our Supported Internship programme.

This partnership represents an exciting opportunity for our learners to gain meaningful workplace experience while developing the confidence and practical skills needed for future employment.

A New Opportunity for Our Learners

Pictured as part of the launch is Callum, who will begin his Supported Internship this September. Callum is already gaining valuable experience through his current work placement, helping to prepare him for a smooth transition into the full internship programme.

During his internship at Pete’s Games, Callum will:

Work alongside customers and staff in a real retail environment
Build confidence and independence in the workplace
Develop essential employability and life skills

Our Supported Internship programme combines classroom learning with hands-on work experience, giving our learners the best possible foundation for future paid employment.

Programme Structure

1 day per week in the classroom
4 days per week working with employers

This blended approach enables our learners to develop real-world skills while receiving ongoing support from the Step into Learning team.

Speaking about the new partnership, Pete from Pete’s Games said:

Gary Jeffery, Supported Internship Coordinator at Step into Learning, also shared his enthusiasm for the programme:

“This is an amazing chance for our learners to gain valuable experience in the workplace, develop skills, and meet new people. The confidence this programme builds is incredible and will open new horizons in the world of work. As full-time learners, they will continue to grow and develop throughout the week, supported by Step into Learning staff during their internships. We are delighted to be involved and proud to support such life-changing opportunities at Step into Learning.”
